Day Student Guardianship

It is possible to be a Day Student as an international student attending a UK independent school, by registering with Sutherland Education’s Day Student category guardianship. This requires the approval of the school.

Choosing a host family/homestay instead of full boarding in the UK means combining a day school enrolment with a vetted homestay, which offers an immersive family environment, lower overall costs compared to full boarding, flexible short-term or long-term care, a British cultural experience in a friendly, homely and caring environment.

The student who attends an independent school and lives with a local homestay will be provided with a single bedroom, personal study space, meals, laundry and daily care. Our homestays are a home away from home and afford deep cultural immersion and individual care and support, rather than an institutional routine.
