GuardianshipWe welcome schools contacting us directly on any guardianship related issues. AEGIS Accreditation AEGIS (The Association for Education and Guardianship of International Students) has established a Code of Practice that requires adherence to standards of care in the hosting of international students which have been approved by the Department of Social Services, the NCSC, the DfES and the British Council. Sutherland Education is AEGIS accredited and we are pleased to be able to assure all schools with whom we liaise and work that we are continually endeavouring to enhance even further the quality of our support to students and their parents as well as to schools. The AEGIS Inspection Report described Sutherland Education as "an exemplar of the very best practice".
We extend a warm welcome to all students in need of preparation for entry to a UK boarding school. Our courses, EAT (English at All Times) Sutherland Education Ltd, March 2003, are based on total immersion in English combining intensive tuition with interactive educational activities provided by caring, educated families offering cultural enrichment and linguistic support. Student Assessment and Placement |  | Through our many years' experience of working closely with overseas parents in the selection of an appropriate school we have established links with over 300 schools. In our liaison with their admissions tutors or registrars we have developed a comprehensive approach to resolving many of the common problems they face. Language CoursesOften students require extra language support and experience in a second language. For the international student, there is a wide variety of options - from the holiday oriented English as a Foreign Language (EFL) courses to the long term EAP courses provided by International Study Centres. We are able to provide expert guidance to your overseas students in their search for the ideal course.
Short Courses - revision, sports, special interestsThere is a multitude of short course options within various groupings. We are able to help students in their choice and in making known to them what is available. Students can also be assisted with any practical arrangements related to out-of-school activities.
Weekends away - UK wide For older students in Sutherland Education Guardianship, we can arrange weekends away - perhaps in the town of a chosen university or just in a locality of their choice for their cultural enrichment.
